Information: Cancellation of 2019/20 National Testing Arrangements

The Secretary of State for Education announced on Wednesday 18 March that the 2019/20 national tests and exams will not take place due to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

This means the following assessments planned between April and July 2020 are cancelled:

end of key stage 1 and key stage 2 assessments (SATs)
phonics screening check
multiplication tables check
science sampling tests
all statutory trialing

Due to parents evenings on the 25th and 26th of March, there will be no Year 5 & 6 Football Club or Year 3 - 6 Basketball Club. Year 3 & 4 Dodgeball/New Age Kurling club Thursday morning will run as normal.

Year 6 Up-to-Date News

Year 6 have been continuing to work hard in the build up to SATs.

We are currently working on fractions in Maths.

We are learning about non chronological reports in English.

We have used a newspaper article as part of Guided Reading.

The children are finishing their learning with our Project Based Learning.

We are currently looking at the United Nations.

SATS Revision Workbooks

These are available to purchase through the school. Please pay online. A letter has been sent out about this.

Year 6 SATs Information Event

Tues 24th March from 3:30pm in the school hall.
