School Council

Our School Council

At Pinkwell, everyone's views are respected.

We have a well established school council which plays an important role in the life of the school and is valued by pupils and staff.

We meet regularly to discuss ways to improve the school and to sort out any issues or problems.

Pupils learn how to lead the meetings themselves.

Here are some of our achievements:

  • Running a fruit stall at break time
  • Pupil survey
  • Lockers for KS2 children
  • Exchange visits with St Catherines school council
  • Participation in Community Cohesion event at Harlington with other local schools and representatives from the local community
  • Introducing Playground Buddies
  • Friendship bench for KS2 playground
Each KS2 class elects a representative to be a member of the school council. The representatives bring ideas and suggestions to the meetings and tell their class what has been discussed. The views of younger pupils are discussed in circle times with their teacher.
